Ada Nicodemou was born on May 14, 1977, in Carlton, a suburb of Sydney, Australia, to Greek Cypriot parents. She grew up in Minto alongside her younger brother. Ada attended The Grange Public School and later the Johnny Young Talent School, where she honed her skills in singing, dancing, and acting.
Career
Ada's acting
career commenced in 1994 when she was cast as Katerina Ioannou in the
television series Heartbreak High. She continued to build her portfolio with
roles in Police Rescue and Breakers. In 1999, she appeared in the
internationally acclaimed film The Matrix as Dujour.
Since 2000, Ada
has portrayed Leah Patterson-Baker in the long-running soap opera Home and
Away, making her one of the show's longest-serving actors. Her performance has
earned her multiple Logie Award nominations.
Beyond acting, Ada
won the third season of Dancing with the Stars in 2005 and hosted the reality
series Please Marry My Boy in 2012. She is also an author of children's books,
