Education

 

Daniel Radcliffe attended Sussex House School, a prestigious independent school for boys in Chelsea, London. He later moved on to the City of London School, where he continued his education while filming the early Harry Potter movies.

 

Due to his demanding acting schedule, Daniel received on-set tutoring. In 2006, he achieved A grades in three AS-levels (English literature, religion, and philosophy). Despite the academic success, he decided not to attend university, opting instead to focus full-time on his acting career. He has said he didn't feel he was cut out for university life and was fortunate to already be doing the work he loved.

Daniel Radcliffe is the only child of Alan Radcliffe , a literary agent, and Marcia Gresham, a casting agent who worked on various BBC productions. His mother is of Jewish descent, and his father is of Northern Irish Protestant background. Daniel has described himself as agnostic , despite his Jewish heritage. of

 

Radcliffe has been in a relationship with American actress Erin Darke since 2012. The two met while filming the movie Kill Your Darlings. In April 2023 , the couple welcomed their first child, a son.
