Abhay Deol was

Maharashtra, India. He hails from the famous Deol family of Bollywood. His father, Ajit Singh Deol, was a filmmaker and actor, while his mother, Usha Deol, is a housewife. He has a
brother named Ajay Deol and is the
cousin of famous Bollywood stars such as Sunny
Deol, Bobby Deol, and actresses Esha
Deol and Ahana Deol.
Abhay's early
education took place in Mumbai, and he completed his schooling at The
University of Mumbai. He later pursued higher education in the United States,
attending The City College of New York, where he studied acting and theatre.
Abhay was always inclined toward the creative arts, and despite coming from a
